This modern guest house located near the Salt Pond in Blue Hill, Maine features a unique monoslope roof with large overhangs. Working with Architect, Ted Lameyer of EHL Design and builder, Curtis Jaffray of Jaffray Construction, the project involved sizing several structural members including a structural steel beam in the garage, LVL beam and lally column in the basement, and an LVL stairway header. We also checked the details of the large roof overhang and provided a deflection analysis of the 2nd story wall which boasts a series of large bay windows.
